Agenda take a minute blog - corrections NaPoWriMo Day 30 reader's / writer's workshop HW: Write a poem, iReady 40 - 45 minutes, 2 lessons  We came into class and put our chairs down. After that, we took a minute. Then, we read a poem and wrote a few down. Then, Ms. Nakada went around to check how many poems we read. After she checked our poems, we listened to "Born in the USA" by Bruce Springsteen. After we listened to the song, we had ten minutes to finish writing poems. After we wrote our poems, we packed up and left.

AGENDA Take a minute Blog corrections NaPoWriMo day 26 readers/writers workshop [HW] Write a poem a day! -makeup iReady- We walked into the classroom and put our chairs down. Derrick read the blog. Then, he choose me to write the next. We took a minute and began to read a poem. After, Ms. Nakada gave us three minutes to write a poem. Once the three minutes were up, she checked how many poems we'd done and then we wrote our Q-Q-S-L. The bell rang, we packed up and left to our next class.

Make-up iReady We entered the class, put our chairs down, and began to copy down the agenda. Soon after, Niko read his blog, and he picked me to write the next one. We transitioned to our poem writing session, and Ms. Nakada wrote the poems on the screen. After we wrote our poems, we turned to our QQSL and listened to the song "King of Pain" by The Police. Shortly after, we opened our chromebooks and logged into the Week 15 Quiz. Finally, the bell rang, and Ms. Nakada dismissed us.

  AGENDA take a minute blog - corrections NaPoWriMo Day 25 week: 15 Q.Q.S.L reader's/writer's workshop HW: RJ 15.3 Read/Write a poem- iReady 40-45 minutes We started the day by walking in and taking down our chairs. After that, we wrote down the agenda and did blog corrections for Mason's fifth blog. Next, we read a poem and wrote down one of our own. After that, we tallied up the amount of poems we made and then we did week 15 Q.Q.S.L. Then, we went over when fail/U notices went out and grades/graduation requirements. We then packed up our stuff and left to second period.

      Agenda      Take a minute      Blog corrections      NaPoWriMo Day 23     Week 15: Q.Q.S.L     Reader's/Writers Workshop     First, we walked into the class and got settled in while Ms. Nakada played the take a minute video. Then, Mia read her blog. Then, chose me to the next blog. After that, we read the Eighth Grade Calendar of Events. Soon after, we read a poem and  discussed it. Then, we got time to write a poem. Soon, the bell rang and we left. No school tomorrow.

After that, we did our take a minute and Yarreni read the blog. When she finished, she chose me. After that, we read a poem. Then, Ms. Nakada asked us how many poems we had read. We then took out our Chromebooks to do Week 14 Quiz.

Class started, we took out our reminder folder, and class started. After, Giovanni read his blog and chose me to write the next blog. We took out our English notebooks and wrote the poems that Ms. Nakada told us to make the poems on the 19th. After that, she helped some of us with exam of the week thirteen. After that, she told us to be with our group for the black projects and to work on our projects. The bell rang and we packed our things until the next class.

We took a minute and went over the blog. Camila read her blog and choose me to write the next one. Ms.Nakada then went over a poem by e.e cummings [I carry your heart with me (I carry it in]. After we went over the poem, we wrote our poem prompts. We got into our groups for our Black Author projects. Then, the bell rang, we packed up and went to our next class.

Read&Write a poem.  Once we entered the classroom we put down our chairs, took out our agendas, and wrote down the agenda. We then, took a min by watching a video. After that, Bryan read his blog and chose me to write the next. Then, we picked a poem to read and discussed it. After that, Ms. Nakada told us the poetry prompts for the day. Then, we wrote our poems down while she asked for our progress. We then finished our QQSL by listening to the song "Only happy when it rains" by Garbage. After that, we discussed the song and then wrote down the lines for the week. We then discussed the lines. After that, we got with our partners to finish our black author projects and Ms. Nakada told us the authors we need to do. Then, we packed up and left.

We wrote down the agenda and took a minute. After we took a minute, Nathan read his blog and chose me to write the next one. Then, we read and wrote the poem for the day. After that, we took out our writing notebook and wrote down the quote and question for the week. We then packed up and left for our next class.

Read/Write a poem We walked into class, and put our chairs down. After, we took a minute, and Ms. Nakada chose me to do the blog. Then, we read the poem called " The Laughing Heart " by Charles Bukowski. After, we read the poem, Ms. Nakada told us to write poems for two minutes. Then, she asked us how many poems we had. After, Ms. Nakada told us that we were going to do the week thirteen quiz together. Before starting the quiz Ms. Nakada asked us if we did the song and lines from last week. We were talking about the lines of last week called "There Are Birds Here " by Jamaal May. After we finished talking about the lines, we started to do the test. After, that we packed up and left.

Kayla read her blog and chose me for today's blog. After a bit, we started reading "Neither Time Nor Place Is a Flat Circle" by Christina Olson. Then we started working on day 10 of the NaPoWriMo prompts. Then, we got back on track of Q.Q.S.L by looking at the poem "There Are Birds Here" by Jamaal May and wrote what we got from it for the  Q.Q.S.L. The song was "Garden Song " by Phoebe Bridgers. We packed up and left.

Ms. Nakada put on the take a minute video for the week while we wrote down the agenda. Gauge read his blog and chose me to do the next. We read a poem called, "Los Angeles" by Kamau Daaood and discussed what it meant. After, we did 3 minutes of writing poems and did our quote for the week, "Poetry is not a luxury. It is a vital necessity to our existence." by Audre Lorde. Then, the bell rang, and we left class.

AGENDA take a minute blog corrections week 12 wrap up week 13 HW: iReady 2 lessons & 40 - 45 minutes Read and write a poem a day. We wrote our agendas down, and Legend read the blog. Then, we did blog corrections, and then we started a poem "Awaking in New York" on page 4. We wrote down our 3 words for the poem and started poem drafts 8 through 14. We have to write either a love letter to a monster, a new tarot card or about a major event. I wrote my poem for today, and we started listening to the song, "Apple Tree" by Erykah Badu. The apple tree song is about boundaries. Then, we started our week quiz.

Agenda:  take a minute blog corrections week 12: Q Q S L NaPoWriMo Days 2-5 Book Projects HW: Write a poem a day complete make-up work (iReady) We walked into class and put the chairs down. After that, we took a minute. When we were done taking a minute, we talked about what the video was about. Then, Ms. Nakada asked if anybody wanted to read Mason's blog because we wasn't here. Jamarion volunteered to read Mason's blog, and he chose me. After that, we went over a poem called "Toy Boat" by Ocean Vuong. We then, wrote three words what the poem was about: sp/arrows nature gun. After that, we went over a poem by Tupac Shakur, called "The Power of the Gun." Then, we packed up and left.

We walked into class and put the chairs down. Then, we all take out our Binder Reminders and   write the agenda on the board. After that, we did the blog and Nayeli choose me to do the blog. Then, after, we got a packet filled with poems. We then choose one called "Fire and Ice." The poem was about the world ending and the author claims that the world ending in fire is better than ice, but if were   to perish twice he'd know enough hate to say that for destruction ice is also great and would satisfy him. This says that if he would die twice, he'd know all about hate and perishing in ice would be suffice. Then...
