HW RJ 9.1 T.O. Ch.8 p.119-130

As we walk in Ms. Nakada greets us. We put the chairs away so we can silently pull out our agendas along with our Outsiders books. After writing down the agenda, Ms. Nakada starts reading Alexanda's blog out loud. When she finishes, she asks out loud "If you have not done your first blog, please your hand." As I raised my hand, she chose me. 

We did CreaTober and the prompt was bounce. Then, we did the Week 8 Quote: "Banning books gives us silence when we need speech. It closes our ears when we need to listen. It makes us blind when we need sight." Stephen Chbosky. 

The question was: do you read banned books. 

We listened to part of the song: "Freedom" by Rage Against the Machine and then read and discussed the poem, "Nothing Gold Can Stay" by Robert Frost. 

Then, we took the week 8 quiz.

After that, we read the blog, and I got picked. After that, we set up a week 10 reading journal and she asked us if we are doing IXL, iReady, or reading a book. Then, we did week 10 q.q.s.l. Quote: "No one is your friend who demands your silence or denies your right to grow." Alice Walker Question: What does gender equity look like at school?  Then, we discussed how to conduct research. Finally, we packed up and left.

Ms .Nakada couldn't find a take a minute video so we wrote down our agendas, and we wrote the quote: "If you don't like something change it. If you cant change it change your attitude" by Maya Angelou. After that, we wrote down the question What is one thing you will take and one thing you will leave behind? After that, we started to work on the iReady diagnostic for the rest of class. Once the bell rang, we pushed in our chairs and we left.
