Geovany's First Blog

 AGENDA take a minute blog corrections week 7: Q . Q . S . L week 6 make-ups Week 7 Quiz HW: Happy Weekend!  We started the day by writing down the agenda in our binder reminders. Then, we took a minute and started working on The Outsiders , and Q . Q . S . L. , on our Writing Journal. After, we ended the day by  taking the Week 7 Quiz on our Chromebooks, and packed up.

Agenda Take a minute  Blog corrections  The Outsiders  Chapter 3 Week 7 Q.Q.S.L Reader's Workshop HW RJ 7.3 The Outsiders  Chapter 4  pages p.53-67 We came in and put our chairs down. Then, we wrote down our agendas and took a minute. After that, Dahyan read her blog, and after she was finished, she chose me. We read The Outsiders  chapter 3 and talked about it. Then, we glued the book recommendations. Finally, we wrote the week 7 Quote: "Sometimes a breakdown can be the beginning of a kind of break through, a way of living in advance through a trauma that prepares you for a future of radical transformation" by Cherrie Moraga. We left when Ms. Nakada excused our tables.

Agenda  take a minute  blog corrections  The Outsiders ch 2  week 6 wrap-up            HW RJ 7.2  The Outsiders ch 3 pages 37-52  We all came in and took out agendas. We looked over the blog that Camila did yesterday. She picked me to do the blog. Ms. Nakada told everyone to take out Chromebooks. Many people didn't charge or bring their own, so she lent them some. Everyone then logged on to take the week 6 quiz. When people were done with the quiz Ms. Nakada then went over a few pages of The Outsiders . Then, we all packed up to go to our next class.

 AGENDA take a minute blog corrections week 7 Q Q HW: RJ 7.1 TQ Ch 2 pages 18-36             First, once we entered we put down our chairs and took out our agendas, we wrote everything down. Then, after we put them away and began to listen to Rhythm read her blog and corrected it. After that she chose me to write the next blog. Next, we took our RJ and got our week 6 checked, we also took out our book called The Outsiders . We then read a few pages of the book and added a note to page 17, Ms. Nakada then told us about what we will be reading tonight. After we went to week 6 to finish the lines. After, the bell rang, and we left.

   AGENDA | -  Take a minute - Blog corrections - readers workshop The Outsiders - Week 6 Quiz Homework: Enjoy the Weekend !! No school Tuesday. :) We came in and sat down in class. The first thing we did was write in our agendas. Then, a student had to read out loud his blog, and I was chosen to write the next. Ms. Nakada then began to check agendas for the week and gave students time to read and catch up if they hadn't read for last night. After that, Ms. Nakada then began to read The Outsiders  allowing any student to begin reading after her and after that student, and so on until she herself just read. This stopped until page 6 and students were given sticky notes to take notes in the book. We then opened our reading journals and did our three word summary of the pages. After that, we did our quote question song lines and wrote what we were proud of. Our question was "How can we celebrate Latin American Heritage Month?" And our song was "Soy Yo" The bell ran...

 Agenda  take a minute  blog corrections  reader's workshop  week 6 Q Q S L   The Outsiders HW 6.4 Read T.O p.1-18 and record summary Ms. Nakada opened the door and let us in. Then, we sat down we took a minute, and we wrote the agenda down in our binder reminders. Ms. Nakada said the blog then chose me. Next, we finished up our book projects, and then we did the School Trip test all together. We also filled out our scoring sheets. Then we all packed up and left the class.

We then wrote down the agenda. Then, we took a minute. Ms. Nakada explained book projects. We started our book projects. There was lots of arguing over a ruler.

Agenda  take a minute  blog corrections  readers workshop  Week 6 S L  We got into class and wrote in our agendas. After that, we did our mindful minute and Xavier read his blog, and he chose me. Then, we took out our books and started reading. After that, Ms. Nakada gave us an A.C.E. paper. This was our ticket out the door.

Agenda: new seats  take a minute  blog corrections reader's workshop  Week 6: Q Q HW: RJ 6.1 Read for 20 - 30 minutes and record.  In the morning, Ms. Nakada picked new seats for us. Also, Nayeli read her blog, after she was done reading her blog she picked me to do the blog. Then, everybody took out their binder reminders and wrote down the agenda. Then, we wrote down week 6 in our reading journal. Next, we wrote A.C.E. in our Table of Contents. After that, we went over Ch. 4 of SCHOOL TRIP  and how Maury used his privilege on the trip. Next, we wrote Quote, Question, Song Lines. After that, the bell rang, we pushed in our chairs and left the classroom.

Take a minute  Blog-corrections  Reader's workshop/RJ check A.C.E. Week 5 quiz HW: Happy weekend  In the morning, we got to class, and settled in. We took out our agenda and English notebooks. We then wrote our agendas down, and pulled our books out to read. Ms. Nakada asked us to make sure our reading log and week 5 notes were out so that she could give us credit. After, we finished up our lines and did our week 5 quiz.

 AGENDA Take a minute  Blog Corrections  Reader's workshop  Week 5: Q Q S L A.C.E. / Book Projects  HW: RJ 5.3 Read 20-30 minutes  Today we walked into class, put our chairs down and took our agendas out. Ethan was supposed to read his blog but he showed up late, so Ms. Nakada had to read it for us. After she was done reading, she asked whoever hadn't done the blog to raise their hand, but none of us did so she made all of us stand up and then read out the names of who did the blog to sit down. There were still a bunch of us standing and that's when Ms. Nakada chose me for the next blog.

Agenda Take a minute Blog corrections  Reader's Workshop HW RJ 5.2 read for 20-30 min After lowering  the chairs we headed to the book fair where the Ms. Nakada he let us buy several  things. We took a minute and wrote the agenda in our binder reminders. Students then read silently or finished I ready.

We wrote down the agenda. Then, Heidy read her blog, and she chose me to go next. After, we took out our books, and notebooks for our reading log. We then just read our books silently. Then, Ms. Nakada gave Chromebooks to the ones who needed them. After, we did the iReady test. Then, we gave the computers back to Ms. Nakada, and we sat down, waited for the bell to ring, and we left.

  AGENDA Take a minute blog corrections- Readers workshop/RJ/BR- iReady  IXL  Checks week grade HW - Stay cool this weekend Today we came into class, we put our chairs down, and we took out our binder reminders wrote down the agenda. Then, Bryan read his blog, he chose me to go next. After, we had to keep our agendas out for Ms. Nakada to grade. We took out our books, and notebooks for our reading log. We then just read our books silently. Then, Ms. Nakada gave Chromebooks to the ones who needed them, after we did the iReady test. Then, we gave the computers back to Ms. Nakada, and we sat down, waited for the bell to ring, and we left.

Agenda take a minute  blog-corrections readers workshop i Ready/IXL -No quiz tomorrow HW- RJ 4.3 Read a book for 20-30 minutes log pages/summary The first thing we did when we came in the room was to take our chairs down and write our agenda. Then, Angel had to read his blog to the class. After he finished reading his blog, he picked me to write the next one. Then, Ms. Nakada told the class to take our reading journal out so she can check our notebooks. Later on, Ms. Nakada told the class to take their Chromebook out so we could take the  School Trip  quiz. After we finished taking the quiz, we went to i Ready, and that's how we ended the day.

Soon after, we all took out our Binder Reminders and wrote the agenda. Then, Mason read out loud his blog, and then he chose me. Then, we took out our reading books. After that, we wrote down our favorite three words. Then, we chose a book for homework tonight. Then, the students take out their Chromebooks to do iReady. Then, we left.

Soon after, we all took out our Binder Reminders and wrote the agenda. Then, Josiah read out loud his blog, and then he chose me. Then, we took out our English notebooks and listened to the song of the week "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien" by Edith Piaf. After that, we wrote down our favorite lyric. Then, we looked at the lines "The Orange" by Wendy Cope and discussed the poem. Further more, we did the week 3 Quiz and chose a book for homework tonight. Then, we left.
