AGENDA take a minute blog-corrections School Trip / RJ Week 3 :Song/Lines/Quiz We came in the class, and then we put down our chairs. We put our agenda in our binder reminders. After that, Legend picked me to do the blog. The class started to talk about the end of the book School Trip . People changed, some more than others, and people shared what they learned. Jordan learned that you can work to change things for the better. Since it was a short day, we packed up and left.

Take a minute  Blog-corrections School Trip Week 3: song/lines Back to School Night Everyone walked in the class, and everyone sat down in class. Then, we took out our Binder-Reminders, and everyone wrote the agenda. Next, Ian started to read his blog. Then, after he stopped reading, he said, "I pick Legend." We started to read School Trip  from the homework we did last night. After that, we wrote the three words about what we read. Then we wrote week 3 quote and question: "In France, we work in order to live. But in America it seems you live in order to work." Sylvie from School Trip by Jerry Craft. The question was: How can we better balance hard work and taking time for ourselves? Last, we wrote the back to school card. After that, we left.

  Agenda  Take a minute  Blog- correction  School Trip  The writing process week 3: QQ HW RJ 3.2 School Trip  P. 186-219 Everyone got into classes, and sat down and wrote the agenda. Then, Jumarion read the blog out to the class and we went over it. After, he picked me(Ian) to work on the next blog. We worked on School Trip . Then, we worked on the writing process. We packed up and pushed in our chairs.

 AGENDA take a minute blog-corrections Week 2 wrap-up The Writing Process Week 3: QQ HW RJ 3.1 School Trip p. 154-185 Everyone came into the class. We put down our chairs. We took a minute and wrote down the agenda for the day. Kyree read his blog out to everyone. Then, he picked me. We listened to the song of the week, "What's Goin' On?" by Marvin Gaye. Then, we wrote the lines for Week 2. "I was made for the library, not the classroom. The classroom was a jail of other people's interests; the library was open, unending, free." Ta-Nehisi. We took the Week 1 and Week 2 Quizzes.

AGENDA take a minute blog - corrections reader's workshop binder check Week 2: Song Lines Week 2 Quiz HW: Have a good weekend Everyone came into the class and took out our binder reminders. We wrote down the agenda for the day. After this, we took a minute and relaxed. Then, Londyn finished reading her blog and picked me to write the next one.  Ms. Nakada checked our binder reminder for your cooperation grade. Once she finished checking everyone's binders, we took out our School Trip books and wrote down three words that describe's this chapter. As we skimmed through the book, we found our three words and wrote them down in our reading journals for School   Trip.   After this, the bell rang, and we all cleaned our area up and pushed in our chairs.

Take a minute blog-corrections readers workshop School Trip week 2 QQSL  The writing process  HW: RJ 2.3 School Trip p.130-153 Everyone came into Ms. Nakada's class and sat down. We took out our binder reminders and started writing down the agenda. After everyone wrote down the agenda Ms. Nakada talked about her morning. After she was done talking, everyone took out their School Trip books. We all went over the pages we were supposed to read last night. Then, we wrote a three word summary   School Trip  and put our books away. Everyone took out their English notebooks and started writing the QQSL for today. Ms. Nakada played a song for us and we wrote in our English notebooks what the song was about. Then, everybody wrote in their notebooks what their favorite line was. Ms. Nakada gave everyone an English book for us to take home. The bell rang, we pushed in our chairs and went to our next class.

AGENDA take a minute blog-corrections reader's workshop: SCHOOL TRIP Week 2: Quote/Question HW: RJ 2.2 SCHOOL TRIP p. 100 - 129 and summary In the morning, Ms. Nakada let us in, and we put our chairs down. Then, we did take a minute while we wrote down our agenda for the day. After that, Ms. Nakada handed out ChromeBooks to people who did not do the test. Then, we did readers' workshop. After doing our readers workshop, Ms. Nakada told us to take out our English notes, and we did our reading journal while we talked about the book. After that, we did our table of contents, and that was it for the day.

 AGENDA Take a minute  Blog corrections Week 1: QQSL Week 1: 1 Quiz Book Distribution HW: RJ 2.1 SCHOOL TRIP  p. 76 - 99 Ms. Nakada let us in the classroom, and we put down the chairs. After that, we corrected Niko's blog, and he chose me to do the blog. We then talk about the song we heard yesterday and say which lyric we like. We then talk about a new poem called "Wild Geese" and talk about the meaning of some of the lines in the poem. We then take out our Chromebooks and take the quiz. Ms. Nakada tells us the answer.

AGENDA take a minute blog-corrections rj check, School Trip Week 1: QQSL Week 1 Quiz HW: STORM WATCH! Ms. Nakada started by letting us in and having us put down the chairs. After that, we did our mindful minute to relax and whatnot. Then, we listened to Derrick read us the blog he made yesterday. When he was done he chose me to write the blog for Monday. After that, we opened up our reading journals to write down the three words we use to describe the pages we read the night before. Then, we also went over and analyzed the pages we read last night.

 Agenda Take a minute blog-corrections reader's workshop writer's workshop: Letters  Week 1 Quote Question  HW: RJ 1.3 School Trip p. 52-75 - Bring Chromebooks!  Quiz Tomorrow! Ms. Nakada let the class in. Then, we took a minute to do box breathing, and relax our bodies. We corrected the blog that Jairus made, and then he picked the next person. After that, we began to summarize the book we read called School Trip .  After that, we began to write our letters. Next, we began to define the quote Ms. Nakada wrote. Then, the bell rang.

 Agenda  Take a minute  blog corrections  notebook/ RJ set-up  reader's workshop first day letters  HW RJ 1.2 School Trip p.28-51  We started class by pulling out our binder reminders and copying down the agenda. Then, Chase read the blog. He made for us and he got to pick the next person to make a blog and he chose Jairus (me).  Then, we talked about the first chapter of School Trip . We took out our notebooks and set up the table of contents in the front and our reading journals in the back.  After that, Ms. Nakada read her letter to us, and we almost started writing back to her.

AGENDA   blog . corrections collect forms first day letters New Kid  review book distributions  HW RJ 1.1 SCHOOL TRIP   p. 1-27. Bring Supplies! Ms. Nakada read the blog from yesterday, and then picked me to do the blog next.  She collected the papers from the Welcome Packet and the Course Outline. The class went over the New Kid  book, and wrote down the daily agenda. As well as go over the syllabus. Also, will read the School Trip book tonight.

AGENDA new seats Welcome! Planners/Welcome Packets Course Outline/Syllabus First day letter - Blog name HW: Return C.O./A.U.P./E.C./H.Q. It was the first day of school at Emerson! First period started after AT today. Students made their way into the room. They found seats based on the letter I assigned. Then, I passed out agendas and students labeled them and wrote down the tasks for the day.  After that, we went over the contents of the Welcome Packets with all of the forms that needed to be returned and a reminder about the uniform and phone policy (along with a "don't order food" policy).  With that school business out of the way, I passed out the Course Outline, and we went over that this was everyone's last first day of middle school. We talked about making sure you have space and quiet to get school work done.  We proceeded through the Course Outline and reviewed materials needed for class.
